Changing the Narrative of Harrisburg

Written by Grace

Pennsylvania-Capitol-Harrisburg-338We know we are not alone in our desire for a unified and peaceful Harrisburg, the place we all call home. The Transcend Project wants to open up a discussion amongst the non-profits, churches and community currently serving within the city of Harrisburg in an effort to work together to serve our city going forward.

On Thursday, June 22, we will be holding a lunch to facilitate these discussions but also to hear about the amazing and positive things happening in the community.

Organizations represented:

Morning Star Pregnancy Services (morningstarchoices.com)
Harrisburg Young Professionals (hyp.org)
Bridge of Hope Harrisburg Area (harrisburg.bridgeofhopeinc.org) represented by Justin McClure of Daflure Heat and Air (daflure.com)

The City of Harrisburg (harrisburgpa.gov)
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Capital Region (capbigs.org)

Moreover, we want to learn about the mission of these organizations and be an encouragement to the great things we know they doing.

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” – Colossians 3:13-14
